Let the Games Begin!

This weekend, the college football season begins! Tailgating, fans, and of course buying those new college jerseys and caps. I just bought my new Navy cap to wear to Saturday’s opener against the Blue Hens of Delaware.

In another week, the Pro’s begin – all on 9/11, and our 10th anniversary of this heinous event. It marks in earnest the use of our SmartShield EAS retail security system to protect The Flagship Store from shoplifting theft. The Flagship store is THE award winning retail store for fans at the MetLife Stadium (formerly known as The New Meadowlands) where the NY Giants and NY Jets play. Our RFID based solution features no visible pedestals, and some extremely detailed metrics involving alarms and events at the store. Watch out for more on this in future blogs!

Let the games begin!

Hurricane Ready!

Keeping our customers supplied with EAS Retail Security Tags is our top priority. Despite the threat of hurricanes in Florida, we are capable of sustaining a fierce storm here in Delray Beach. Our warehouse and offices are built to the newest building codes for hurricanes, plus our communication system and power will be operable even if power to the area is out. The end result is that we will be here for you. In addition, our Long Island warehouse is capable of standing in for us at any time and vice versa! We’re ready!!

Checkpoint in Trouble?

A colleague of mine sent me a Press Release (see the enclosed link) from one of its largest investors. As an industry player, it’s difficult to read the concern and the results stated in this open letter to the market. All I can say is that we are fortunate at BSI to have a positive Board of Directors – great investors and management, and are producing growth and positive results. For those of you following this blog – we are doing well and recommend that you look us over for your RF and AM EAS Business opportunities.

I hope (and assume) that CKPT will be OK. It’s good for the industry!
